On Morning Joe Joe Scarborough loses it in an epic rant against Newt Gingrich who deserved the criticism for his relentless flip-flops on every issue known to man!
List of Assassinated American Politicians (33 Total): 6 Republicans, 18 Democrats
Admittedly reliant on the accuracy of this Wikipedia page. Interesting.
Cognitive Dissonance: Do the riots surprise you?
This could happen here, if things don’t get better!
We in Britain live in a country where the richest 10% are now 100 times better off than the poorest.
We live in a country where brutal cuts and enforced austerity measures are being put in place by our government- cuts and measures that hit the poorest, most…

The Dow dropped 634 points today. It dropped 684 points after 9/11. The actions of the Tea Party Congress have the same effect as a terrorist attack. Good job, guys.

Recall vote underway in Wisconsin, widely seen as a referendum on the policies of Republican governor Scott Walker.
Has anyone called him Walker: Mad’son Danger yet?
TPM Election Scoreboard for Wisconsin Recall Elections
The scoreboard will start updating after the polls in Wisconsin close three hours from now at 9 PM EST. The three races to watch are Darling’s, Olsen’s, and Hopper’s (think “D’oh!” — which is what Republicans will be saying if those three lose).

— Support For Cuts To Spending On Domestic Programs, Sans Entitlements
— Possible Cuts To Defense Spending
— Cuts To Entitlements Are Off The Table
We have this fantasy that our interests and the interests of the super rich are the same. Like somehow the rich will eventually get so full that they’ll explode. And the candy will rain down on the rest of us. Like there’s some kind of pinata of benevolence. But here’s the thing about a pinata: it doesn’t open on it’s own. You have to beat it with a stick.

Fox’s Megyn Kelly slams host who called her maternity leave “a racket”
Conservatives with gay children are for marriage equality, conservatives with relatives who have Alzheimer’s disease are for stem-cell research, conservatives with drug problems are for drug-treatment programs over incarceration, and now conservatives with new babies are for paid maternity leave. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if conservatives could see the value of a particular social program without first having the need for it touch them in some personal way? When will conservatives make the empathy leap? Is it really that hard for a conservative to imagine having a gay child or a loved one stricken with a terminal illness or a drug problem or a baby?
Tea Party’s late for an important date with destruction!
