Fox "News" Is Mad That Cee-Lo Green Sang An Uncensored Version of "Forget You" at ATL Obama Fundraiser...But, Where's Their Criticism of Ted Nugent?

Fox News got a little miffed that Cee-Lo Green wanted to perform his song uncensored at an Obama campaign fundraiser in Atlanta, GA on Friday.

They claimed that Obama was a “man of leisure” while in the Presidency, I guess in an attempt to make him look lazy and not fit for the job.

But wait, didn’t Ted Nugent, a Hannity favorite, make some controversial comments at one of his concerts, or his many comments on a weekly basis against Obama?

Here’s just a sampling of what he said:

  • Calls Iraqis and Afghanis “voodoo vermin” and asks for a “voodoo vermin body count”
  • Calls President Obama a “dope pusher” over what he calls “gangland rioting.”
  • Calls Democrats “slave-masters.”
  • Tells President Obama at one of his concerts to “suck on my machine gun.”
  • Calls Secretary of State Hillary Clinton a “bitch”

And Fox News wants to complain about Cee-Lo Green? They’re a pathetic excuse for a news organization.

Ted Nugent Stumps for Mitt Romney and Alienates Pretty Much Everyone...Tells Mitt To "Chop Their Heads Off In November"

Washed up rocker and reality TV star Ted Nugent appeared at the NRA’s national convention in St. Louis. Nugent, a longtime NRA board member and regular presence at conventions, rallied the NRA faithful on Saturday to vote for Mitt Romney: “Your goal should be to get a couple thousand, per person who’s here, to vote for Mitt Romney in November.”

 
Nugent called President Obama a criminal and denounced his “vile, evil America-hating administration” which is “wiping its ass with the Constitution.” Taking it a step further, he said that “If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year.” “If you can’t galvanize and promote and recruit people to vote for Mitt Romney, we’re done,” he continued.
 
Supreme Court justices also came under assault by Nugent, who claims that the court’s more liberal members have signed a declaration against Americans’ right to self-defense:
“We’ve got four Supreme Court justices who don’t believe in the Constitution. Does everyone here know that four of the Supreme Court justices not only determined you don’t have the right to keep and bear arms, four Supreme Court justices signed their name to a declaration that Americans have no fundamental right to self-defense.”
Nugent concluded with a call to cut off the heads of Democrats in November: “We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?”

Mitt Romney Actively Sought Ted Nugent Endorsement, Now Romney Must Respond to Nugent's Recent Controversial Comments!!!

For the life of me, I don’t know why Mitt Romney would actively seek the endorsement of a has-been rocker who compared his love affair with women to “Cat Scratch Fever.”
But, then again, it fits because Romney and Nugent are two dirty old men.
Mitt Romney actively sought, and won, Ted Nugent’s endorsement in early March. According to a report in the Texas Tribune and Nugent himself, the two had a lengthy conversation about gun laws and the endorsement on March 2nd.
 
Nugent made Romney pledge not to put any new restrictions on guns. Romney obliged:
It was on a phone call with the candidate earlier today that Nugent gave his blessing. He talked to Romney by phone while he was at a sporting goods store in Michigan “celebrating the orgy of guns and ammos and bows and arrows and camouflage clothing and hunting and fishing and outdoor family supplies.”
 
Before endorsing him, Nugent demanded that Romney pledge there would be no new gun laws or restrictions on Second Amendment rights in his administration. Romney obliged. Nugent also warned Romney about the “out of control” U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
 
“These are not Ted Nugent demands,” he said. “They’re logic demands. They’re ‘we the people’ demands. They’re right over wrong, good over bad.”

As Tommy Christopher over at Mediaite points out, presidential candidates can’t be expected to answer for everything their supporters say. However, it’s a different story when the candidate personally seeks an endorsement: “Mitt Romney shouldn’t have to answer for every idiotic thing ever said by a conservative, if only due to time constraints. However, it is fair to ask him if he agrees with those whose endorsements he has actively sought.”
 
It’s time for Romney to address Nugent’s extreme and violent rhetoric on his behalf at last weekend’s NRA national convention. While rallying support for Romney, Nugent compared President Obama and Democrats to a coyote that needs to be shot, called President Obama’s administration “vile, evil America-hating,” and ended with a call to chop off Democrats’ heads: “We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November.”

We reported yesterday on inflammatory remarks made by longtime NRA board member Ted Nugent at the group’s national convention on Saturday. Nugent was trying to rally attendees for Romney, who addressed the convention a day earlier, but he shot himself in the foot instead with extreme and violent rhetoric. 

In addition to the remarks we reported yesterday, Nugent compared President Obama and the Democrats to a coyote that needs to be shot. He then told the crowd that “we’re Americans because we defied the king,” and we must be like Braveheart and “ride into that battlefield and chop [Democrats’] heads off in November.”

Secret Service is Investigating Ted Nugent!!! Good for Them!!!

The chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) on Monday called on presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney to disavow conservative rocker Ted Nugent after he encouraged members of the National Rifle Association (NRA) to defeat Democrats and “chop their heads off in November.”

“Mitt Romney surrogate Ted Nugent made offensive comments about President Obama and November’s elections this weekend that are despicable, deplorable and completely beyond the pale,” DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz said in a press advisory. “He called the Administration ‘vile,’ ‘evil’ and ‘America-hating,’ and said much worse.”

She continued: “Yet what have we heard from Mitt Romney and the Republican Party, who should be outraged that someone representing them is using language like this to make a political point? Absolutely nothing.”

“Mitt Romney must condemn Nugent’s violent and hateful rhetoric immediately, as it has no place in our political discourse or this campaign.”

Over the weekend, Nugent told the NRA crowd that they “should be to get a couple of thousand people per person who’s here to vote for Mitt Romney in November.”

“If you don’t know that our government is wiping its ass with the Constitution, you’re living under a rock some place. And that there’s a dead soldier, an airman, a Marine, a seaman, a hero of the military that just got his legs blown off for the U.S. Constitution, and we got a president and an attorney general who doesn’t even like the Constitution,” he said, adding that the four left-leaning Supreme Court justices were “like a stoned hippy” because they “don’t believe in the Constitution.”

“And if you want more of those kinds of evil, anti-American people in the Supreme Court then don’t get involved and let Obama take office again. Because I’ll tell you this right now, if Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year.”

Nugent continued by urging attendees to get everyone they knew to vote for Romney and against “this vile, evil, America-hating administration” or “we’ll be a suburb of Indonesia next year.”

“We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November!” he exclaimed. “Any questions?”

In March, Nugent announced on Twitter that he had endorsed the former Massachusetts governor.

“[A]fter a long heart&soul conversation with MittRomney today I concluded this goodman will properly represent we the people & I endorsed him,” Nugent wrote.

Romney’s son, Tagg Romney, quickly praised the rocker.

“Ted Nugent endorsed my Dad today,” the younger Romney tweeted. “Ted Nugent? How cool is that?! He joins Kid Rock as great Detroit musicians on team Mitt!”

Update (1:20 p.m. ET): New York magazine reports that the Secret Service is looking into Nugent’s comments as a possible threat on the president’s life.

“We are aware of it, and we’ll conduct an appropriate follow up,” a spokesperson for the agency said.

According to Right Wing Watch, Romney actively sought Nugent’s endorsement.

Romney Campaign Responds to Ted Nugent's Head-Cutting Comments...Through a Spokesperson!!!

NOTE: Romney’s response through a spokesperson for the campaign is not sufficient enough. By only putting forth a statement, it gives off the impression that Mitt Romney agrees with Ted Nugent’s comments.

If he does not agree, he needs to come out, himself, and denounce the comments once and for all. If not, it is taken that he agrees with Mr. Nugent.

As Ted Nugent‘s explosive remarks over the weekend continue to spark a frenzy, Mitt Romney‘s campaign decided to respond. Following DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz‘s call for Romney to denounce the comments, Romney spokesperson Andrea Saul called “divisive language” offensive.

Nugent has been under fire for his statements at an NRA conference, which included calling President Obama “vile, evil” and “America-hating.” He said, “If Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year” — and that voters should “chop [Democrats’] heads off” in November. The Secret Service then entered the picture and said they are looking into the remarks: “We are aware of it, and we’ll conduct an appropriate follow up.” Reports also said Romney actively sought out Nugent’s endorsement, which put additional pressure on the campaign to respond.

Furthermore, the DNC chair said Democrats should “call on Romney to denounce Nugent’s comments.” She added: “Threatening violence — or whatever it is that Nugent’s threatening — is clearly beyond the pale, but Nugent’s not the one running for president.”

Following the backlash, the Romney campaign responded, via Saul:

“Divisive language is offensive no matter what side of the political aisle it comes from. Mitt Romney believes everyone needs to be civil.”

Ted Nugent Doubles Down on Incendiary Remarks on President Obama: He Claims He Is Being Attacked With the "Saul Alinsky Playbook"

National Rifle Association board member and Washington Times columnist Ted Nugent refused to back down from his recent inflammatory comments about the Obama administration in a radio interview with CNN contributor Dana Loesch on The Dana Show. Nugent told Loesch that “I will stand by my speech” and said that he was being attacked with the “Saul Alinsky Rules for Radicals playbook.”

Speaking at the NRA’s annual meeting Nugent accused President Obama of having a “vile, evil America-hating administration” that is “wiping its ass with the Constitution.” He went on to tell a crowd that “We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November” and said that “If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year.” The Secret Service is reportedly reviewing Nugent’s comments.

Nugent insisted to Loesch that his message had been “100 percent positive,” and Loesch agreed that he was being used as a “scapegoat” by the Obama administration.

Later in the interview, Nugent added more derogatory comments about Democrats. He described Democratic chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz as a “brain-dead, soulless, heartless idiot,” and said House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi was a “sub-human scoundrel.”

Asked about a request from the Democrats that Mitt Romney (who sought and received Nugent’s endorsement) distance himself from Nugent’s comments, Nugent claimed that “Mitt Romney knows what I’m saying is true. He puts it into words for him, I put it into words for me.”

These aren’t the first inflammatory remarks from Nugent.
