Last post of the night…to the Kansas City Chiefs fans who cheered that Matt Castle got a concussion and that Brady Quinn was going in to replace him in last Sunday’s game…
You should be ashamed of yourselves. To cheer the injury of a football player, no matter who it is, is sickening, repulsive, and downright hateful. You are no better than the players and the coaches involved in the New Orleans Saints bounty scandal. You thrive on injury, simply because one of your favorite college football-turned pro football players is getting to go on the field.
Due to injuries sustained in football games, all players who get concussions have shorter life expectancies and several have died at an early age from health issues related to the concussion(s). Diseases such as Alzheimers and Parkinsons’ have been known to occur from repeated concussions sustained on the field, in the boxing ring, on the soccer court, etc.
When you cheered for your favorite football player getting to go in and cheered for a player getting hurt, you basically gave a huge “Forget you” to the players who play the game, regardless of which team they play on. You basically stated that you consider any injury in a game a good thing, because Brady Quinn’s getting to play. It basically states that you don’t give a flying damn about the players who play the game, you only care about a stupid hero complex you have over one football player that’s not even all that and a bag of chips.
Basically, the Kansas City Chief fans who celebrated over a concussion this past Sunday, here’s what I think of you…
