There's something about this story about surprise Congressional primary winner Ted Yoho that grabs us by the … uhm:

Ted Yoho is one of the best-known large-animal veterinarians in Central Florida. So in May, when an old friend needed help castrating several miniature horses, Yoho rushed off in between radio interviews he was doing to talk about his underdog congressional campaign and lent his friend some scissors and a hand.

After the deed was done, Yoho held up the horse’s testicles and proclaimed: “Washington needs a few more of these.”

Suffice it to say, Yoho’s campaign to become the congressman from Florida’s 3rd District has been less than conventional.

We don’t say this often, but this is the best horse-castration-related intro we’ve ever read.

It’s not often that I get to share posts about gonads and Washington, unless we’re talking about the latest sex scandal. But, just, wow.
